A day or two before that shed at Lake Shawnee burned down, I stood right there and called it out — told you these things aren’t lingering human spirits, they’re demons wearing that mask. Then the shed burned. Lake Shawnee has a weight to it that’s hard to put into words — the history alone is dark, layered with tragedy and death that stretches back generations, and every time I’ve walked those grounds I’ve felt something heavier than most places I investigate.
