We Brought the Best British Watches to New York — And Picked Our Favourites
The Time+Tide British Watchmakers' Weekender finally landed in New York — and we brought the best of British watchmaking straight to 460 Broome Street, SoHo. For the first time ever, Time+Tide hosted a British-only watch event at our NYC Discovery Studio, bringing together some of the most exciting independent and homegrown brands the UK has to offer. Andrew, Justin, and Emily walked the floor, picked their favourites, and debated — loudly — every step of the way. Here's some highlights that had them talking: Dennison opened with a date night stunner: a diamond-bezel, bark bracelet gem-set piece at $4,995 — natural diamonds, quick-change strap, and a cheeky little nod to the T+T London studio on the caseback. Golby delivers incredible, distinct dials at a lower price point. The Skipping Stone, inspired by ripples on a mill pond, at £450. Christopher Ward — over £50M in revenue, top 50 globally — brought the Loco, Bel Canto, and other fan-favourites. Fears is also known as a strong watch-crowd pleaser, but came to the show with a twist – The Aviator. The Fears Aviator has zero historical right to exist, but it's better for it. Elliot Brown makes watches for the British Special Boat Service. Issued to operators when they pass selection. Drowned. Shot at. Blown up. Still running. Enough said. Nomadic brought Irish grit in a 36mm package: diamond inlay on the rehaut, green over tan strap — basically a Jag E-Type on your wrist. Studio Underdog closed it out with a burnt pizza watch, a salmon dial that knows exactly what it's doing, and an energy that makes the whole industry feel lighter. Oh — and there's a very special Beaucroft × Time+Tide Solaris GMT in the mix. 200 pieces. If it's sold out by now, you know why. This is what happens when you put the best of British watchmaking in a room in New York City. 🇬🇧 What was your pick?
