Boogies Trains at: Lyon Part Dieu - 4 May, 2026

A visit to what is now the main passenger station in Lyon. Opened in the late 1970s it replaced Perrache as the main station when the TGV services started. Most services are run by SNCF on behalf of the Auvergne Rhone-Alps region with distinctive blue EMUs. SNCF also run TGV services in competition with RENFE and Trenitalia. The only reason I managed a visit was because it was too wet for my wife and I to go sightseeing. Every cloud!
