「子供のおかげで大事にしてくれる」とB’z・稲葉浩志さんの母も感謝 凱旋ソロライブが津山に残した余韻 (24/09/20 16:00)
It's been three weeks since Koshi Inaba, member of the popular rock band B'z, held his first solo concert in his hometown of Tsuyama. The bond between the charismatic artist and his fans had an impact on the local community, demonstrating the profound impact modern music culture has on local communities. (Genta Nakanishi, reporter) "(As of August 23rd, a panel of Inaba is still on display in front of the venue even after his triumphant return concert in Tsuyama City.") Even after the concert ended, the excitement lingers in the town of Tsuyama. (Tsuyama residents) "A heroic figure." "A superstar and the pride of Tsuyama." Fans continue to pour out at the cosmetics store run by Inaba's mother, Kuniko (87), a long-time fan favorite considered a "sacred place." (Kuniko Inaba, mother of Koshi Inaba) "A lot of people come every day. We just talk normally, and there's no special service. But thanks to my son, everyone takes good care of us." Inaba's concert made a huge impact on Tsuyama. (Fans...) "Inaba-san was awesome! It was so much fun. Your voice was amazing! Your performance was amazing! I love you!" "Thank you Inaba-san! We'll be waiting for you again!" The concert took place on August 13th and 14th as part of a nationwide tour, and a total of approximately 16,600 fans from all over Japan came to the city, which has a population of approximately 95,000. This was his second live performance since performing with B'z in 2017, and his first as a solo artist. Cars with the number "178"—a play on words with Inaba-san's name—were packed into the area around the venue, Tsuyama Cultural Center. Long lines also formed 10 hours before the concert began. (Waiting fans) (Fans in Tsuyama City...) "People from other prefectures are staying overnight to see the concert. It's amazing that they come here even though they can't get into the venue. It's all thanks to Inaba-san's support." Local gourmet booths were also set up, and the karaoke stage was filled with people singing B'z songs. Fans also flocked to the cosmetics store run by Inaba's mother. (Inaba Kuniko) "I can't express my gratitude to the people and fans (of Tsuyama) for making this such a grand event. I'm so grateful." (Nakanishi Genta, reporter) "It's 20 minutes before the doors open. There's a long line. Inaba's homecoming concert in Tsuyama is finally about to begin." The venue seats approximately 1,000 people. Fans lucky enough to purchase tickets had a dreamlike time. (Fans inside the venue...) "Inaba talked a lot about his hometown, it was amazing." "He talked a lot about Tsuyama, and it really touched me. Inaba was the best." Meanwhile, Inaba is also very conscious of his fans and his hometown. While he chooses venues with a capacity of 10,000 people for his national tours, the venue in Tsuyama can accommodate around 1,000 people. Even without a large venue, it's his hometown, Tsuyama... His feelings are palpable. There was also a surprise on the second day of the concert. While fans who couldn't get into the venue flocked to the surrounding area, the doors to the venue were opened so that fans could experience the atmosphere inside. (Fans outside the venue...) "I didn't have a ticket, but I'm glad I came." "I'm glad I've been following you since I was a student." "Thank you for the surprise, Inaba-san." Inaba-san's mother shared her husband's feelings this way: (Inaba Kuniko) "He seems really happy. It's like he loves his hometown. He apparently said he wanted to come again (at the concert), so I think he really does love Tsuyama. I asked if they opened the doors (to the venue) for the previous (concert), and they did (open the doors) on the second day. It seems they only do it because it's Tsuyama, not anywhere else." The bond between this charismatic artist and his fans is shining brightly in the Japanese music scene. This bond has left a deep impression on the hearts of local people. Tsuyama's shopping district welcomed fans with stalls and other events, creating a new buzz. (Kawato Shoes President Kazutoshi Kawato) "Complete strangers were singing in a circle. I thought this was just because of Inaba. Inaba's fans are also well-behaved." (The taxi driver...) "The number of people passing by was the highest since he became famous for his Tsuyama Hormone Udon, a low-class gourmet dish, and the crowds were overwhelming. I was overwhelmed by Inaba's greatness and legendary popularity." Fans also visited the local shrine where Inaba's name is engraved, and interacted with the locals. (Katayama Kyoji, Chief Representative of Kawasaki Hachiman Shrine, which manages the shrine) "It was a great surprise to see fans coming from far away. (Inaba) is like a god to them." The impact that fans have had on the local community. It was Inaba's mother who felt it most. (Inaba Kuniko) "They tell me, 'I came because I wanted to talk to my mother.' I want to live even a little longer." "When I shake ...
