Ford F150 Stuck In Park And Brake Lights Not Working How To Fix

In this video I show how to fix the problem that this truck has with being stuck in park and the brake lights not working. The vehicle used in the video is a 2010 Ford F150 with the 6r80 transmission.This should be a similar procedure for other years and models as well. It is common for the switch to go bad and this can also cause issues with the cruise control and the abs or even an intermittent not being able to shift out of park. If your switch does not happen to be the problem I would recommend checking the brake shift interlock or the sifter cable itself or even the transmission fluid level. These are less common issues for this however if the switch is working fine this would be your next step. Just replacing the switch corrected this issue.
