I'm Done Pretending This Homeschool Plan Works

Every homeschool year starts the same way for me. I get excited. I find incredible curriculum. I convince myself we can absolutely do all of it. And then I remember something I've had to relearn over and over again during nearly ten years of secular homeschooling: The homeschool that looks impressive on paper isn't always the homeschool you can actually live. This year we're entering high school while also homeschooling our younger daughter, and the temptation to add "just one more thing" has never been stronger. But experience has taught me that consistency matters far more than ambition. In this video I'm sharing the reminder I needed to hear myself: doing less often means learning more. We'll talk about realistic homeschool planning, delay starts, combining subjects, high school credits, curriculum overwhelm, and building a homeschool that actually fits real family life.
