Things didn’t quite go to plan – our bus started showing some gearbox problems and, to top it off, James booked the wrong campsite dates. But sometimes, vanlife’s unexpected challenges lead to the most memorable moments. Despite the setbacks, we discovered why the Elan Valley in Wales is one of the most beautiful and underrated vanlife destinations in the UK. From scenic drives through rolling hills to peaceful moments by the reservoirs, this trip reminded us why we love life on the road.
