This Could've Been Expensive

We got a call for an Earthroamer that had slid off the road at Cathedral Mountain Overlook in Capitol Reef State Park. They said a local tow company had turned down helping them so we loaded up both wreckers and headed out. Once we got on-site we had to assess the situation on how to rig everything using what we brought and what was available in the area. Everyone assumes that just cuz a tree is nearby you can winch to it. Sometimes that is true but in the desert where the roots don't go deep it isn't always that easy. We did make some mistakes in this recovery but we dealt with them as they came. We were able to get them out of a bad situation and back on their way.
