But what starts as a small hustle spirals into a dangerous empire. Early seasons show Nancy juggling PTA meetings with drug deals, entangling herself with DEA agent Peter Scottson before clashing with mobsters and rival dealers. After setting her own house on fire to cover her tracks, Nancy inherits a criminal empire, pushes into cartel territory at the Mexican border, and falls into a toxic relationship with drug boss Esteban Reyes—eventually giving birth to his child. Things only grow darker: Shane commits murder, forcing the family on the run. Nancy takes the fall and serves prison time before reuniting with her kids in New York, where new schemes and betrayals unravel everything again. By the end, Nancy has survived shootings, prison, cartels, and heartbreak—only to realize her pursuit of power has cost her almost everything. The finale jumps ahead to a quieter moment: Nancy, Silas, Shane, and the family together again, smoking on the porch and facing the future with cautious peace.
