[National Soto Zen Youth Association, 50th Anniversary Commemoration, Zen Culture Academy, and Two Great Head Temples: Recitation of the Gratitude] November 29, 2023, 1:30 PM Memorial Service, held at the Sojiji Temple Daiso Hall Great Prayer Sutra for World Peace Leader: His Eminence Shiundai Ishitsuki Shugyo of Sojiji Temple In reflection of the unfortunate tragedies occurring around the world, such as the recent COVID-19 pandemic and war, as well as the numerous natural disasters and war damage over the past 50 years, His Eminence Shiundai, Honorary President of the All Soto Zen Youth Association and former Chairman for the second term, personally recited and recited the "Great Prayer Sutra for World Peace." Young monks from across Japan, carrying on the aspirations of past generations, recited sutras together with past masters, temple trainees, the interdenominational All Japan Young Buddhist Association, and the World Federation of Buddhist Youth (WFBY) to pray for world peace, transcending national and personal boundaries.
