This time, I had the opportunity to visit Indonesia's largest train factory, PT INKA Madiun. My friends from @RailwayEnthusiastIndonesia and I visited the PT INKA train factory in Madiun City. Their quality has been recognized and exported to various countries. Domestically, we are certainly familiar with their products, such as Passenger Trains (Executive, Business, Economy), Electric Rail Trains (KRL), Integrated Rail Transit (LRT), Locomotives, and various types of Freight Cars. For the international market, INKA has successfully shipped locomotives and passenger trains to the Philippines, passenger trains to Bangladesh, and even freight car components to developed countries like Thailand and New Zealand. When I visited, the factory was very busy. According to information I received, PT INKA is currently focusing on producing three large orders: the KRL iE-305 (for KAI Commuter), Train 612, also known as the Stainless Steel New Generation Train (SSNG-KAI), and various freight cars for export. During this visit, I had the opportunity to directly observe several projects underway in the workshop area. On one track, repairs were being carried out on the Majapahit Railway's SSNG trainset (coded TSC-1). Furthermore, I also saw the TM 05 series KRL units undergoing a retrofit (technological and interior upgrade), which are still underway. Finally, I got a close-up look at INKA's new KRL (with the code CLI.225 TS-3) and the new Stainless Steel New Generation trains (Kereta-612 SSNG), which were still in their shiny, final stages of completion before being delivered to the operator.
