Jeden z najwspanialszych zamków w Niemczech - musisz zobaczyć!

The castle is located in Baden-Württemberg, atop Hohenzollern Mountain (855 m above sea level), still known as Zollerberg or Zoller in the local dialect, between the towns of Hechingen and Bisingen. The idea of building the castle in its present form was conceived by Prince and later King Frederick William IV in 1819. The castle was designed by the renowned Berlin architect Friedrich August Stüler, who, as a student and apprentice of Karl Friedrich Schinkel, was appointed architect to the king in 1842. Hohenzollern Castle is a manifestation of the romantic spirit of the time and embodies the then-ideal medieval knight's castle. In this respect, it is an example of historicist architectural thought comparable to Neuschwanstein Castle in Bavaria, albeit without the fantastical and theatrical splendor. #Germany #castles
