"Shopping" Director: Marc Daniels. Writers: Arthur Stander, Frank Tarloff, Ben Starr. Joan needs a new dress to wear to a "fancy party at Fred and Martha's," but won't buy it until she eases her conscience by getting Brad a new suit. She convinces him to get this very loud plaid number, but has to bring it back when Brad sees a gangster in chambers sporting the same suit. When she is refused a return because the suit was altered, she poses as a salesperson and resorts to wacky alterations in order to resell it.
