Red Emperor @ Every Fishing Mark is a video that has been in the making a long time. The delay was not just due to my absence from reef fishing for over six months, but more importantly, because I had not been able to take my brother-in-law reef fishing for three years. There always seemed to be something that prevented us from getting together and heading offshore to catch delicious, exciting reef Finally, the opportunity presented itself when everything aligned perfectly. My brother-in-law, Boisey (also known as Norm), Number One Deckie Christian, and I embarked on an unforgettable fishing trip. At every fishing mark we visited, we successfully caught Red Emperor. In addition to Red Emperor, we reeled in Nannygai, Red Throat Emperor, Grassy Sweat Lip, Goldband Snapper, and Cod. Although viewers may notice, I do not mention in the video that Boisey cannot walk due to a serious car accident he experienced as a young man. He relies on a wheelchair for mobility. Despite this challenge, Boisey has continued to participate in activities he loves, including joining me for offshore fishing adventures for more than fifteen years. Before this latest fishing trip, Boisey used a standard rod and reel, which he found exhausting, especially given the depths we fish when offshore reef fishing. About two years ago, he purchased an electric rod and reel. I modified my boat to accommodate the electric rod and reel, allowing it to be used on either the port or starboard side. This adaptation enables Boisey to enjoy offshore reef fishing for many more years to come. I hope everyone enjoys the video and gives it a thumbs up.
