Recently, in December 2025, it was officially recognized as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Goiás. Origin and Foundation: The fair was founded more than 34 years ago (approximately in 1992) during the administration of then-mayor José de Araújo Lima and first lady Alda Araújo.
