Two Easy Ways to Sew Elastic Waistbands

In this lesson I’m going to show you two easy ways to make encased elastic waistbands. Both of these techniques are great for adding comfort and stretch to your garments — especially for things like skirts, pants, shorts loungewear, or pajamas. We’ll start with the classic encased waistband, using 1-inch elastic.Then I’ll show you a multi-channel version that gives a more flexible, gathered look — great for summer shorts, skirts, PJs or loungewear.
