Canteen Rescue - One winner's story

In 2010, hundreds of schools entered for a chance to have their canteen totally transformed. Each school entered a proposed design for the makeover. Celebrity judges radio DJ Scott Mills, celebrity chef Brian Turner and Childrens' presenters Dick and Dom whittled the entries down to 10 and then 30,000 of you voted for the five that you think deserved a makeover the most. This film follows one canteen's new makeover. This uplifting film follows the staff and students at Albany Science College as they help transform their school canteen into a 1950's American diner.
