British Clog dancers are refusing to stop blacking up.
“The Britannia Coconut Dancers” from Bacup, Lancashire are refusing to stop their tradition of painting their faces black, claiming it dates backs more than 100 years and isn't racist. The Coconutters can trace their origins back to 1857 and have held their Easter Boundary Dance parade in its current form for well over 100 years.
