The song is "Rebel Son" by the band Survivor. The theme: Youth in Rebellion! Zuko is a true rebel at heart, standing up to any who oppress him. Hot tempered and greatly troubled, he has little tolerance for injustice toward the meek. On his quest to capture the Avatar, he faces off against many oppressive enemies, including Fire Nation officials. But my main focus is on Zuko's complicated relationship with his father, Firelord Ozai. (Plus a little bit of Uncle Iroh, Mom, and Aang.) This is ultimately about Zuko's path to redemption, and his newfound resolve to stand up to his father, after years of misguided loyalty. This song is one of my absolute favorites. It carries a powerful message about holding true to yourself, fighting for what's right, and puts an emphasis on the passion of youth. Hope you enjoy my first AMV. Prepare to be inspired!
