In this video, we conduct an independent accuracy test of two popular 3D scanners: the Shining 3D EinScan Rigil and the Creality Raptor X. Unlike most comparisons, we're not interested in ergonomics, accessories, or software. We're testing only one parameter: actual scanning accuracy. For testing, we use a 500mm-long ballbar—a high-precision standard whose size is known down to the micron. Both scanners operate in laser mode and scan the same object under identical conditions. The results reveal an interesting pattern: one scanner confirmed the manufacturer's specifications, while the other demonstrated deviations beyond the stated accuracy.
