Keurig K-Duo Essentials 5000 Repair video

The video starts with a short preamble discussing the mistakes I make during the repairs. This machine was brought in because it would no longer pour a cup of coffee. The carafe worked fine (making 12 cups of coffee). While cleaning this customer's machine, I realized the paddle located below the top needle was broken. I figured it out when I purchased another used machine online. The paddle on that machine was solid, and did not allow me to remove the needle assembly. I made a HUGE ERROR by removing two screws located just behind the needle assembly. DO NOT REMOVE THOSE TWO SCREWS!!! This video will clearly show what happens if you do. What I learned from this experience; The portion of the machine where the K-Cup is installed, can be easily removed from the machine, without taking the entire machine apart. I have taken apart a dozen Keurigs before, and every time has resulted in broken plastic clips. I use black electrical tape to hold it all together when the machines are re-assembled. Unless there is a problem with the heating element for the carafe, DO NOT remove the bottom plate. Good luck with your repair.
