Batalla Kilometro 7 - Testimonio

Lecture Series: "Reminiscences of the Chaco War" Topic: BATTLE OF KILOMETER 7 - TESTIMONY Presenter: Günther Revollo In November 1932, the defense of Kilometer 7 took place, an action that saved Bolivia from defeat at the beginning of the conflict against Paraguay. Since the capture of Boquerón in September, Paraguayan forces had been making a steady advance, and the Bolivian forces were mired in defeatism. In Alihuatá, some 4,000 soldiers were asked who wanted to volunteer to await the enemy. Only 730 offered themselves, and under the command of the valiant Lieutenant Colonel Bernardino Bilbao Rioja, they managed to break the Paraguayan forces at Kilometer 7. In this session, we will share the account of one of those heroes: Óscar Soria López.
