HSO Standards Discussion with OARC

2023-04-05 OARC welcomed Emma Park from Health Standards Organization (HSO) and LTC Resident Leader Devora Greenspon to talk about and answer questions about HSO’s recently released national Long-Term Care Services standards. The new standards provide LTC home teams, leaders, and governing bodies with guidance on delivering resident-centred, high-quality care enabled by a healthy and competent workforce. Our Guest Speakers: Devora Greenspon is a resident in long-term care, the co-chair of the Ontario Association of Residents’ Councils (OARC) REAL (Resident Expert Advisor and Leader) Group, and a leader of the Residents’ Council in her own home. She was also a member of HSO’s Long-Term Care Services Technical Committee that developed the new standard. Emma Park is a project lead at HSO and led the development of the new standard.
