ALTIPLANO - El Ayaymama by Ciro Hurtado - Ft Alexa Ramirez

El Ayaymama is a bird found in the Amazonian region. My grandparents and elders would tell of its haunting, melancholy, whistled song, given mostly on moonlit nights. I never saw or heard the bird singing, but I knew about the myth surrounding it. I took the notes of its singing as a motif to compose this piece. I wrote El Ayamama in the Andean Triste, Yarawi style.
