A RELEVÂNCIA DO FRASEOLOGISMO PARA A COMUNICAÇÃO REGIONAL E PARA O ENSINO DE LÍNGUA PORTUGUESA

Linked to the program "Dialoguing with the Basic Education Teacher: Reflections on Theory and Practice Related to Portuguese Language Classes – 2026 Edition", the lecture "THE RELEVANCE OF PHRASEOLOGISM FOR REGIONAL COMMUNICATION AND FOR THE TEACHING OF THE PORTUGUESE LANGUAGE", given by Prof. Joana Patrícia Barbosa Silva, aims to promote reflections on the linguistic diversity present in Portuguese, discuss the sociocultural value of phraseologisms, and foster dialogue between linguistic research and pedagogical practice, highlighting possibilities for working with linguistic variation in the context of Basic Education. That being said, this initiative seeks to bring together Portuguese Language teachers from Basic Education across different school systems, researchers from various institutions, undergraduate and graduate students from UFU – Federal University of Uberlândia and other institutions, as well as those interested in the topic from both the internal and external UFU community, with the aim of: disseminating and sharing knowledge; providing conditions for debate and the exchange of experiences between the internal and external university community; generating discussions about the teaching of Portuguese Language in Basic Education; and contributing to the learning of undergraduate or continuing students in the field of Letters.
