Magnolia grandiflora

Okay, so we're talking about a tree here, a really big tree that can grow to over 20 meters tall. It's most commonly found in western France, but now it's pretty much everywhere except in the mountains—it's a bit sensitive to cold! Its leaves are evergreen and glossy green on top, almost like they're made of wax. And its flowers are enormous, magnificent, mostly white or creamy white depending on the variety. It's a superb and imposing tree. The only downside is that you need space in your garden to really appreciate it. And while you're waiting to find one in your garden, you can always discover it while strolling through the green spaces in our cities!
