In a heartbreaking incident mirroring the recent death of engineer Yuvraj Mehta, 28-year-old Aryan lost his life in Noida. Aryan was traveling from his residence in Chhoda Village, Noida Sector 22, to his office in Sector 58 when he encountered knee-deep flooded water on the road. As a truck approached from the opposite direction, he climbed onto the stones covering a nearby drain for safety. While steadying himself against an electric pole, he reportedly received a massive electric shock, leading to his immediate death. Some eyewitnesses, however, claim the death occurred due to slipping into a deep water-filled pit rather than electrocution. Khabaargaon’s ground report team visited the spot, spoke with eyewitnesses, and interacted with officials from the electricity department to uncover the real reasons behind this preventable tragedy. Poor drainage infrastructure, exposed electric poles in waterlogged areas, and neglected road maintenance have once again highlighted the alarming civic failures in Noida and Greater Noida amid monsoon rains.
