The Quba Walkway is a stunning 3‑kilometre pedestrian promenade that offers a beautifully shaded and meticulously paved route directly linking Masjid an‑Nabawi to Masjid Quba. This scenic corridor faithfully follows the historic path that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) used to walk frequently. A relaxed stroll from end to end typically takes around 45 to 50 minutes. The route begins on the southern side of Masjid an‑Nabawi, with easy access near Gate 309. Entirely car‑free and designed with accessibility in mind, the walkway is wheelchair‑friendly throughout. It is adorned with swaying palm trees, lush landscaping, and soft ambient lighting that makes evening walks especially delightful. Rest benches are placed at regular intervals, and you'll also find informative signs, along with a handful of cosy cafés and small local shops to explore along the way. If you'd rather skip the walk or find yourself needing a rest, frequent hop‑on, hop‑off buses and open‑air buggies run continuously along the route. A buggy ride takes just about 5 minutes and costs roughly SAR 10 (around $2.67) per person. Beyond its beauty and convenience, the walk holds profound spiritual value. Upon arriving at Masjid Quba and offering just two Rak'ahs of prayer, you are rewarded with blessings equivalent to performing a complete Umrah.
