New Zealand Road Trip: Ep 1 - Backpacking the North Island

I return to New Zealand for a 7 week road trip around both the North and South Island in this 2 part documentary series. Episode 1 begins in the North Island, at the capital city of Wellington. Driving with my Kiwi friend Matt, he takes me off the beaten track to show me how Kiwi's enjoy their own country. Stops include Vinegar Hill, Napier, Tokomaru Bay, Rere Rockslide and Whakatane to do the White Island Volcano Tour. Then I take Matt on the classic backpacking trail, making him a tourist in his own country.
