Firestopping Product Spotlight: QWR Fire Collar

A fire collar is a metal encasement with fixing lugs, and, contained in this shell is a layer of intumescent. It is known as a direct to wall seal and typically requires a fire collar on both sides of the wall. In this video, Alec Purdie (Technical Manager) highlights our QWR Fire Collar. The QWR is rated as type X durability which means it can be exposed to weathering. It has been tested in a variety of applications including both rigid and flexible walls and tested in conjunction with QuelStop Fire Batt including single batt, double batt, and pattress.
