“Are We Deluded About England?”

England have some of the best players in the world on paper — so why do we keep falling short against Argentina, Spain and France on the biggest nights? In this follow-up to my last video, I’m asking a harder question: are we deluded about how good England actually are? Our players star for Arsenal, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Man City — but those clubs are stacked with elite internationals from every corner of the globe. Strip that away, and are we really the powerhouse we think we are, or just one strong side among several? I also look at the mentality gap — the passion, the ego, the way other nations seem to find another level in the biggest moments — and ask whether that’s the real work England still need to do, rather than searching for a manager who can perform miracles. This isn’t about excusing anyone. It’s about being honest with ourselves before we reach for the next scapegoat. 🔔 Subscribe for more honest England and boxing talk on Kirk’s Corner 👍 Like if you think it’s time we’re honest about where England really stand 💬 Comment: Are England genuinely elite, or are we overrating ourselves?  #England #ThreeLions #WorldCup2026 #FootballCulture #Mentality #KirksCorner #Overrated #NationalTeam #FootballDebate
