After a unique night sleeping by the side of a dirt road, we woke up early, packed up our tent, and continued our journey towards Melo, in the Uruguayan countryside. Upon arriving in the city, we had the pleasure of meeting Carlos, a follower who follows our adventures. We chatted for a while, and during the conversation, he mentioned that there was a go-kart race happening in town. Of course, we went to check it out! Later, we went to the historic Posta del Chuy, one of the most important places in the formation of Uruguay. We took the opportunity to explore the area, learn a bit about its history, and discover its surroundings. But the most special moment of the day was yet to come. Without any prior arrangement, Carlos showed up again. Even without knowing if we would actually be there, he prepared and brought chicken milanesas and a delicious homemade sauce for our dinner. A simple gesture, but one that perfectly represents the hospitality and kindness we have encountered along the way.
