Organisations calculatrices, jeunes rêveurs : l'imaginaire des entreprises en tension - Marion Cina

Marion Cina, PhD in Management Science, Lecturer-Researcher at ISC Paris Companies today are constantly striving to create meaning. Whether through the establishment of precise methods and processes, or via the use of shared work tools, they aim to streamline their operations. Yet, even as they attempt to establish organizational narratives, it is clear that the rather unpredictable imagination of our young employees struggles to align with the narratives they construct. A recent study conducted in France with disillusioned young graduates upon joining a company led us to compare them to the Romantic youth of the 19th century. We will present the rationale behind this comparison with the Romantic movement in order to outline perspectives that can be applied in our professional environments.
