In this math tutorial our task is to solve for the value of x. To solve the logarithmic equation,4 is first expressed in terms of base 2 as 2² and the power of 2 is then taken to the back of the log to become a multiplier. I then proceed to use the change of base property of logarithms to change log with base x to base 2 and then let log base 2 of x = k. The new equation is multiplied through by k to get k²-3k+2=0.
