AMTK 193 Leads Sunset Limited #1 at Tower 26 - Houston, TX (2/22/14)

Amtrak Train #1, the westbound Sunset Limited, rolls through the interlocking at Tower 26 (CP H232) near downtown Houston, TX on its way to the Houston Amtrak Station. The train is running about 45 minutes early and arrived at the station at 5:30 PM, well before the 6:18 PM scheduled arrival time. This is on Union Pacific's Terminal Subdivision (Now the Houston Subdivision as of 1/26/15), which runs through the Houston Area. The train has just crossed over from Main 1 at Carr St Jct (CP LF364) in order to get to the Amtrak Station, and crosses West St on Main 2. Train #1 then passes me and the diamonds at Tower 26 as it heads west to the Amtrak Station. The crew was friendly, as usual, with John at the controls. He and the conductor waved, and they both pulled some extra antics for us.
