How to configure DHCP settings on the ASUS RT-AC68U dual-band gigabit router. DHCP stands for Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol. It basically means "get assigned an IP address automatically". Without DHCP, you have to manually type in IP and DNS settings on all of your devices. Thanks to DHCP, we just plug our stuff into our router and it's all done automatically. For example, a gaming device may need port forwarding configurations.
