SUPERVECINOS - TAFALLA - 10/06/2018

Tafalla has numerous super neighbors. One of them is Javier Adot, from Guiarte Navarra. Knowledgeable about the town's history, legends, and anecdotes, he will show us the town's rich architectural heritage and introduce us to some centuries-old shops, such as Ultramarinos Baztán and the "La Gloria" pastry shop. There, its owner, Jesús El Cid, will recall the origins of the business: a chocolate shop that sold its products throughout Navarre in the first registered truck in the autonomous community. We will also meet Alfredo Ansa, creator of the model of the Palace that once existed in Tafalla. Joaquín Mencos, Marquis of Real Defensa, will open the doors of his Palace, which was occupied throughout history by troops in various wars and was also a Red Cross hospital. We will recall traditions thanks to the Cofradía del Cuto Divino (Divine Cuto Brotherhood). In addition to the famous raffle, it hosts other events that make Tafalla a city to enjoy its history, its gastronomy, its commerce, its crafts, and, of course, its "super neighbors."
