Punk Panther, Panther Takes the Hindmost! Elimination Ultra Marathon on the Leeds Liverpool Canal.

After a mix up on Facebook I ended up with a place in the elimination ultra-marathon, Panther Takes the Hindmost. Luckily it was possible to finish after just the marathon distance and not go on to do the elimination laps so that is what I did. A casual Friday marathon on the Leeds Liverpool Canal towpath! The route took in Bingley Three Rise Locks as well as the iconic Bingley Five Rise Locks which was a real treat as out-and-backs can seem a bit boring. This was the opposite! It was so fun to see everyone so often, especially in the crazy monsoon rain so we could share a few words of encouragement. Absolutely loved it! Huge thanks to the Punk Panther team and to the universe for the mix up which meant I was entered into this race! All the other runners were amazing with the top three looking super strong right from the start. Eleanor ran two of the elimination rounds before stopping... Good luck at God's Own Backyard Ultra Eleanor. Next time I'll try to arrange this with a bit more notice and try to sort childcare so I can join in some of the elimination laps!
