All the stories portrayed in the production are based on investigative mediumistic meetings, most of which took place at the Parisian Society for Spiritist Studies. In addition to this source, the film includes biographical records from the book Spirits Under Investigation, by Carlos Seth Bastos, and Contextualizing Kardec, by Elias Moraes. The premiere episode dramatizes the true story of Sixdeniers, a good man who died by drowning. Fifteen years after his passing, he communicates through a medium who knew him personally, in a meeting held in Bordeaux, France, on February 11, 1861.
