This is an application made to the Home Office requesting a Fee waiver in a Human Rights application. The Fee Waiver application should only be made when the applicant meets all the requirements for Leave to Remain on Human Rights application. The Fee Waiver application is usually made in either of these scenarios: Scenario A The applicant is homeless or in danger of being homeless, destitute, or in exceptional circumstances i.e. an unlawful migrant who is not permitted to work in the United Kingdom. The following documents are required: 1. Original current and valid passport 2. Letters from friends confirming applicant’s temporary residence, copy of ID from those friends 3. Letter from charities to support homelessness/support 4. Applicant’s bank statements but if there is no bank account, this should be stated explicitly in the application. Scenario B The applicant is lawfully resident in the United Kingdom, for example, as a parent of a British child, but lacks sufficient funds to pay Home Office fees due to exceptional circumstances. The following documents are required: 1) Original current and valid passport 2) Bank account statements from all bank accounts held by the applicant for the last three months. 3) Letter from applicant listing all incomes and expenses to further prove that there are inadequate funds to pay the Home Office fees. Note: Fee waiver is not an application for Leave to remain/residence/visa. It is only an application requesting a Fee Waiver on the subsequent leave to remain application based on Human Rights.
