Automatic Probe Changing via Tool Changer! Non-Contact On-Machine Measuring System

The Non-Contact On-Machine Measuring System uses a laser scanner to automatically measure workpieces directly inside the machining area. Measurement can be performed immediately after machining, contributing significantly to improved productivity and process integration. In this system, the laser scanner is automatically mounted to the spindle from the tool magazine. The probe is then automatically powered on by the spindle’s rotation, enabling a seamless transition from machining to measurement. In conventional workpiece measurement, it was necessary to remove the workpiece from the machine and transfer it to a dedicated measuring device.
