Dirt Devil Swivel Glide Vision Upright Vacuum

Here I'm showing is one of the best Dirt Devil vacuums that I own in my collection. I got this vacuum 3 years ago from the thrift store for $13. The only problem with it was that it was clogged in the inner hose and one of the screws were missing. It also was missing most of the attachments so the edge wedge was the only one that it came with it, and so was the bumper which I can no longer get. After a very good deep down clean, replaced both of the filters and the belt, this now works amazingly! I've been after one of these for a long time. My Uncle used to own this exact model when I was little. They've never really liked it because it was very loud and the last time that I have seen it, it was starting to fall apart, and I'm betting it got replaced when they've moved to another house. I actually used to hate these when I was growing up, I always thought that it was the worst Dirt Devil they've ever made, also was convinced that it was the worse vacuum that I've ever used, and during that time I used to think that Dirt Devil was the worst vacuum brand of all time. But after I've bought this and used it a couple times, I then came to realize that it's really not that bad of a vacuum. And looking back at their vacuums, Dirt Devil definitely made some excellent vacuums and some of them are perhaps one of the best vacuums that were ever made. I now think it funny because since this model convinced me that it was junk, it's also the same one that came to redeem me back into liking Dirt Devil again. The only things that I still don't like about these is that it's cheaply built, the handle release is on the other side, I'm not a fan of the swivel casters, the height adjuster doesn't like to work as shown in the video, it handle grip doesn't like to stay on, it's still very loud, and it's bagless. Their later models did fix some of those issues but I would rather take the bagged Swivel Glide models anyday over these. But overall, I'd say this is a excellent vacuum. Power suction and airflow, and really strong agitation. In my opinion, I would say that this is the 2nd best bagless upright that I've ever used. The brushroll is my most favorite part about this, made of wood, each bristle has American colors on it since this is American made, and the bearings are replaceable like the American way. Don't see alot of those anymore today. Hope you enjoyed!
