What Nobody Tells You About Moving to France

Moving to another country is an adventure, but mistakes are almost inevitable along the way. Looking back, there are definitely things we wish we'd known before making the move to France, and that's one of the reasons we started this channel—to share our experiences and hopefully help others avoid some of the challenges we've faced. This week, the heatwave continued across France, making wedding work for Sarah and pool construction for Mark and Cath particularly challenging. Despite the soaring temperatures, we managed to keep moving forward. Back at home, the garden demanded some attention too, with the raised beds becoming seriously overcrowded. There was also an unexpected and rather unwelcome surprise waiting in one of the compost bags! Later in the week, Leon and I headed out for a walk and took the opportunity to share some of our thoughts on moving to France. We discussed a few of the realities that people don't always consider—especially when buying a second home abroad. Our intention isn't to discourage anyone from following their dream; these are simply our personal observations and experiences after making the move ourselves. We'd love to hear your thoughts. Do you agree with our viewpoints, or have your experiences been different? Let us know in the comments below. If you enjoyed the video, please give it a like, subscribe to the channel, and join us again next week for another episode of France Unfiltered.
