Corps of Engineers Heaven: W.P. Franklin and Ortona South Campgrounds

As we complete our South Florida swing, we return to W.P. Franklin Corps of Engineers Campground as our very first "revisit" because, well, it's the perfect campground. We only had two days at W.P. Franklin, but while there, Charlotte had a chance to engage in one of her favorite activities -- picking strawberries. Well, kinda. From there, we left one paradise for another - Ortona Lock COE Campground in . . . well, we're not sure what city it's in (and neither is anyone else). Like W.P. Franklin, it sits directly on the Caloosahatchee Waterway while overlooking a dam and lock. Despite strong winds, we had a wonderful (but shortened) time there and I'm sure we'll return soon enough.
