Para below is my original synopsis, but I obvs need to be more upfront because people still want to believe the calm scenes in this vid are real, either then in 1989 or now. They arent, everything you see here is literally fake, choreographed, scripted, call it what you want. This is not how DPRK was in 1989, it's a Truman show version. An afternoon in Pyongyang during the 13th World Festival of Youth and Students in 1989, being tailed POSTSCRIPT: this was shot to show how artificial the scene was set up to be during the Festival - this is in no way meant to be a depiction of how things really were in NK in 1989! BTW I was a 25 year old woman when I took this footage in 1989. Just thought I'd mention that (7 years after posting) so I dont have to sometimes wonder who YT posters are referring to when they talk about "him" filming. I mean fairs that you might assume that, but it isn't the case here and many other places. Anyways, cheers.
