They are grown in the autumn by the grower—in our case, organically certified—and are then harvested and placed in cold storage with bare roots. If you plant properly and have a greenhouse or conservatory, you can enjoy strawberries from your own garden from April through October (provided there is a warm late summer). You can grow these strawberry plants in open ground or in containers or pots. I grow them in professional BATO strawberry containers, which are also used in horticulture.
