Finished my BIG 1:24 Scale Mad Max Inspired Garage Build! | From Scratch to Cinematic Movieset

-After months of blood, sweat, and a few sliced thumbs, my Mad Max-inspired mancave garage is finally alive! This massive 48-minute feature is just the beginning. While I’ll be adding more stuff in future episodes, this MadMax inspired garage is officially ready to serve as the ultimate cinematic backdrop for my future wasteland car builds. I did some extreme close-ups, because most of the items in this garage are barely bigger than a fingernail! Look, I’m the first to admit this isn't the most mathematically perfect, hyper-detailed build on YouTube. But if it looks absolutely killer under the right lighting and from a proper camera distance, it’s good enough to serve its purpose: the filmset! For this premiere, I really wanted to experiment with a darker, more atmospheric tone. I’m testing out a narrative style here—using AI-animated fragments to bring things to life and overlaying a slow-paced, haunting soundtrack to set the mood. This garage is where everything is going to happen: the future car builds and, as my skills grow, some epic miniature action sequences. The entire concept is heavily fueled by the first two legendary Mad Max movies. If you're a Gen-Xer like me, you already know those films are mandatory viewing! Let me know what you think of this cinematic approach in the comments. Behind the Build: The entire compound is built on a custom-poured real concrete slab measuring 80x60 cm (approx. 31.5 x 23.6 inches). The walls were carved from foam—every single brick was hand-cut, a process that took weeks and cost me a few battle wounds. Pro-tip learned the hard way: I accidentally used a foam with a hard top layer, which made scribing a total nightmare. I’ll definitely be switching to a much denser, easier-to-carve foam for the next project! Now that was an intense learning curve right there... I also experimented with both resin and filament 3D printing. When you're working at this scale, resin is definitely king for crisp details. Filament works great when you actually want some raw texture, but for precision pieces like the ball turret and the engine block, filament fell a bit short. I’ll probably re-do those in resin later on. The entire building is fully wired for lights now, and I’m currently working on a massive roof structure complete with hanging industrial lighting. Many of the custom parts in this garage were designed by me using 3D software. If you want to add them to your own build, you can grab them right now! 📥 DOWNLOAD MY CUSTOM 3D FILES ON CULTS3D HERE: https://cults3d.com/en/users/ThatSeve... 🎵 STICK AROUND FOR THE OUTRO! To close out this epic build, I’m premiering a brand new track from my AI band, Sweet Revenge. The song is called "I Got The Relic" and it plays during the outro alongside a gallery of behind-the-scenes production stills and making-of footage. Kinda cool. In the upcoming videos, I’m diving deep into advanced lighting techniques and cinematic filmmaking to really make this wasteland pop.
