Can you imagine a place where the dunes are golden and the sun shines eternally? South of Lima, this area was founded by Jerónimo Luis de Cabrera in 1563 and named Villa de Valverde del Valle de Ica in his honor. Established on September 25, 1975, this area is one of Peru's most important protected areas due to its unique ecosystem that combines coastal desert and sea. It's a crucial place for the conservation of marine species and migratory birds. We also visited Culturpisco, a magnificent place where they teach us step-by-step how to make Pisco, and of course, we couldn't miss Huacachina, an oasis in the middle of the desert.
