Canoeing the first 500 miles of the Mississippi River

This film covers the Fall of 2023 where I spent 28 days guiding my friend, Kevin Parsons through the first 456 miles of the Mississippi River. The journey begins in the first city, Bemidji, Minnesota, and is completed 20 miles past the first lock and dam on the river in St Paul, Minnesota. During that month we were hosted by many 'Angels' that live along the shores of the Mississippi, many of which I had met the year prior when I did my own voyage source to sea on this same river. Much of the journey was solo, despite being on the river together. Kevin and I connected a lot when we met with the angels, and for the most part paddled alone.
