This report presents the failure of the repair of the Trio/Kendwood AG-201 low-frequency oscillator. Because the printed circuit board wasn't completely removed, components—electrolytic capacitors and transistors—were replaced until it stopped working. The first symptom of the failure was that the signal attenuated over time.
